RAF Akrotirri is a British Airbase on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. This forward operations base was constructed in the 1950's to relieve pressure on RAF Nicosia. The base is now the Winter Training Base for the world famous RAF Red Arrows who thrill thousands with their close, skillful air maneuvers.
